Far and Near Images

Duns and District Photographic Society are an informal group of amateur photographers who meet every 2nd Tuesday from September through to April.

Meetings are held in the Southfield Community Centre in Duns at 7.30pm.

Adult membership is £15
OAP membership is £10
Junior membership is £5
Admission £1.00 per evening, includes tea and biscuits. New members always welcome.

No experience in photography is necessary to join, often the evenings are more of a social event. The syllabus offers the chance to enter a few of the Border Photographic Competitions, which involves working with slides as well as black and white photography, as well as working with more modern digital tecniques.
Guest speakers are an important part of the syllabus as they give the members an insight into their specific type of photography.
