Far and Near Images

The photographs on these pages are the work of Margaret Renstead and Gary McBride from the Scottish Borders. Both are keen black and white workers and still have their darkroom while taking advantage of the digital revolution where it is appropriate.

While the Scottish highlands and islands remain popular locations for their photographs, other far flung destinations are also included in their work.

Margaret has used her photographs to create a small range of cards which are sold through local outlets in Eyemouth and St Abbs. She regularly features in the programmes for local organisations, giving illustrated travel talks. Both are members of Duns and District Photographic Society and enter in many Borders photographic competitions.
